Harrisburg YMCA, Harrisburg Parks & Recreation and the Southwest Cabarrus Rotary are partnering to present the 13th Annual Harrisburg 5K, Fun Run and Health Expo, and are offering the 10K run for the fourth year in a row! The goal of this joint effort is to promote recreation and local business in Harrisburg.
The Harrisburg 5K is a 3.1-mile course, the Harrisburg 10K is a 6.2-mile course and the Fun Run is a 1-mile course. All three events go through the beautiful Town of Harrisburg, starting and finishing at Harrisburg Town Hall. This is a closed course to ensure the safety of all participants. The Health Expo will be held from 8 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
The Harrisburg Health Expo, held in the park area behind Harrisburg Town Hall, offers a wide variety of health and wellness information from local hospitals, doctors, massage therapists, nutritionists, gyms and other health-related organizations. There are also free children’s activities for kids to enjoy after the races.
